Agrupacion Electores Orihuela Costa 2019

Today we were invited to attend to the first official meeting by the association AE ORIHUELA COSTA 2019. The aim is to get back more of all taxes paid as approx. 80% of the money goes to Orihuela. Orihuela Costa sold some land to be able to maintain roads, parks, schools, etc as this has been neglected in the last five years. Only a minor part was given back to our community. Promises on investments have been broken time after time and now enough is enough.

Also we have no health care center, no culture house as cinema, theatre, library, etc, no elderly and child care, no bus station, no bus stop shelters, limited social care, messy streets and so on.

The association showed a video on how it looks like on the streets, with dirt, weeds, bins and flooding in Orihuela Costa compared with how it looks like in Orihuela. 

We will soon get further information on the territory area, number of people living here, etc. 

We who were interested in knowing more and getting a change, signed an application. Are you also interested in getting a change please contact me?

Lattice door in front of your storage door
Due to the two inbreaks of the storage doors during the summer, we have sent out requests to companies on installation of lattice doors in front of the storage doors. Only one reverted with an offer, Leroy Merlin.
There are two options
1. Lattice door with 1 latch bolt, 439,99€
2. Lattice door with 3 latch bolts, 496,09€
If we order more then 10 doors the price will be reduced with 15%.

The jacuzzi is now repaired and ready after the fire, however, we await a new heater so we can reach up to temperatures around 38 degrees. We expect the heater to be installed within two weeks ie December 18.

Dear property owner,

The jacuzzi has been re-constructed and has been in use since a couple of weeks. In the General Annual Meeting there was a decision of an additional payment of 65€ to get the jacuzzi up an running, therefore your account will be charged with that amount within two weeks.

Piscimar will start the repair immediately already today (on November 30th) to be able to reopen it soon.

Dear property owner,

Thanks to an observant owner, we were made aware that smoke came from the cabinet to the renovated jacuzzi. It appears that it has started in the heating element where water has been pumped in. A notification was made to the police who came and inspected. We will have a review with Piscimar who has installed all equipments.

 

Piscimar start already tomorrow the work to get it up and running. Insurance companies are informed.

The weather has been as lovely as it can be in September and this is also the month when most of the tourists have left their summer holidays.

The financial situation is following the budget and attached is also the quarter 3 finance report. The numbers for Q1 and Q2 have been revalidated due to the tax law that states invoices have to be sent the same quarter as the job has been done.

The work with the Jacuzzi started in end of September and should have been open first week in October. It is been delayed as there is a problem with the pool light and installation of a heat pump. We also need to buy a lid to cover the jacuzzi with to keep the warm water. The intention is that the opening should be from October to April every year so winter people can enjoy a good time.

A special thank you for a great contribution of fixing the two loose pool ladders by Roy Floisbonn o. 90, Sture Jonasson no. 28, Göran Larsson no. 107 and Kåre Nogård no. 92.

The pool bridge had been very slippery and to avoid slipping accidents we have put some anti-slipping strips which unfortunately have been torn by the sun. We will now put on an artificial lawn.

The Committee members started to perform Open House meetings on Fridays at 10:00 outside Social club. The first meeting was held in September 22 with approx.. 8 owners attending and the second in September 29 and the third on October 6 we had 15 people join the discussions. We have had open discussions and good ideas have been put in the light on how to improve our lovely community. These meetings will continue to be held but reduced to twice a month in uneven weeks from November.

For many years ago we all had access to different European TV channels via the antenna and today it seems like it does not work any longer due to the conversion from analogue signals to digital signals. We have investigated on how much it would cost to change those devices in our telecom room and it is slightly above 3 000€ therefor we suggest to use TV boxes if you would like to have foreign TV channels.

If you have any information that you think would be good to share with other owners for instance the indoor colour code, etc. Then please contact any of the committee members and we will put together a list and upload to our webpage.

Just a gentle reminder to make sure all the gates are closed at any time and this applies both for the outside gates as the pool gates.

Lately there have been a number of bicycle robberies within the urbanisation and thanks to one neighbour, who got suspicious and started to run after them, the bicycle was left behind.

There is a new law in Spain regarding renting out properties that requires the rentals to be certified and have a sign on their property. Further information on this will soon be sent out separately.

Open House meetings will be held last Friday each month from now on so next meeting is Friday 24 ofNovember.

We are now going to start with Open House in Social club on Friday September 23 at 10 o´clock. Our intention is to have this event every Friday from now on and see if there is an interest amongst us.

You are welcome to meet me, Christina and some of the other committee members (from time to time). All are welcome to come in and share ideas on how to improve our urbanisation, interested in meeting us, neighbours, etc or just to say hello.
